Ascend, located in Northeast Alabama, has served as a spiritual reboot for middle and high school students since 2019.
We have several Ascend Events that we host and they continue to bless teenagers and touch youth groups!
Our mission at Ascend is to empower sons and daughters to expand the Kingdom of God! We believe that every child of God has a purpose and plan for their life and it's our heart to see those be realized.

ASCEND WKND
Wknd Retreat
Ascend Wknd is a three-day retreat located in Northeast Alabama. Every year, our caring and enthusiastic team, fearlessly led by our founders TJ and Sarah, dream up a wide range of creative programs for students and their youth groups. Our activities and offerings are fun and challenging and push students to grow in community and relationship with Jesus. From sessions to stations, games to food - everything is about pushing students further toward Jesus. Our prayer and priority are that every student, leader, and pastor leaves with a new encounter with Jesus!

Evening Service
Ascend Nights are the Ascend experience all in one night! Tj preaches, our team does worship, we play some games, and we let what Holy Spirit do what He does best - invade!

Ascend One Days are truly the Ascend experience all in one day! From sessions to stations, games, and food - it's all about Jesus and glorifying Him.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS
TJ & Sarah Oakley
ASCEND was founded in October of 2019 by TJ and Sarah Oakley, and was born out of a time of intense prayer and fasting. The Oakley's are passionate about seeing this generation walk in their prophetic identity and have been working to see that vision accomplished for the past twenty years. In early 2021, they felt the call of God to leave their positions as student pastors to pursue the vision of a full time evangelistic ministry.
The purpose of ASCEND is to bring all students, regardless of denomination, cultural background, color, or economic standing, to a place of intimate meeting with God's presence.

A Personal Note from TJ Oakley
I want to take a minute and thank you for being a part of Ascend Weekend. This retreat was birthed in the desire to see young people have an opportunity to truly and intimately meet with God. The vision of Ascend is to renovate, regenerate and elevate. We want to renovate student’s mindsets, hearts, souls and daily lives; regenerate the purpose and identity that has been stolen, hidden or stalled by the enemy; elevate the power and authority they walk in as sons and daughters of God. I sincerely believe that this is the generation that will fulfill what was written by the prophet in Joel 2:28 = “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” At Ascend we have one rule: Let the Holy Spirit have His way. I firmly believe your students will not return home the same.
